Chassis: SL160/8
American importer Carl Haas sold this T160 to Bryan O'Neil. Under the American Racing Motors banner he campaigned the car with a small block V8. O'Neil crashed the car during his second outing in 1968 and it was later raced by Mario Andretti and Jerry Hansen. Ahead of the 1970 Can-Am season, it was acquired by Danny Hopkins, who fitted it with a big block Chevrolet engine. Continuously modifying the car, Hopkins would go on to race the car until the end of 1972. Chassis T160/8 was eventually acquired by Chuck Haines, who retained it until 2000, when it was bought by the current owner. It has since been restored to its original guise.
