Chassis:
At the end of the 1969 season, Roger Penske sold his special lightweight T163 along with a spare tub Edo di Pasquale. He opted to rebuild the car around the spare chassis, while continuing to use the SL163/17 chassis number. Di Pasquale raced it in a handful of rounds of the Can-Am Challenge Cup with limited success. After being restored by RM Motorsport, it was acquired by American collector Dale Phelon in 2005. After he lost his battle with brain cancer, this T163 was acquired by a historic racer, who brought the car to the 2014 Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
