Chassis:
This was the works T296, which was raced in the World Sportscar Championship during the second half of the 1977 season. It debuted at Estoril, where it won the two-litre class in the hands of Chris Craft. Another class victory was scored in the final round of the season at the Salzburgring where Guy Edwards and Ray Mallock shared the driving duties. At the end of the year, it was sold to the European continent through Swiss agent Heini Mader. Chassis HU87 was eventually acquired by Peter Kaus and displayed in his Rosso Bianco Museum for two decades. Following a brief sojourn in the United States, it was acquired by the current custodian at the end of 2008. He had the ex-works T296 restored to its original configuration for use in historic events.
