Chassis:
One of the very last T298s built, this example was sold through Lola's Swiss agent Heini Mader to Frenchman Pierre Yver in 1980. His regularly campaigned the car in minor events but with backing from Primagaz also fielded the car at Le Mans in 1981. Piloted by Jacques Heuclin and Michel Dubois, it completed 201 laps but was not classified. Following several more outings with Heuclin behind the wheel, it was sold to Daniel Aguzzi for use in hill climbs. Its contemporary career ended in 1985 after it which it changed hands several times. In 2010, the car was entrusted to French specialist Yvan Mahé, who restored the car to its 1981 Le Mans configuration. We are told the BMW M12/7 engine in the car is good for over 350 bhp.
