Chassis:
Originally completed as a Mk3 Spider, this car was sold new through Lola distributors Carl Haas and John Mecom to Homer J. Rader. In 1968, he entered the car for Lynn Kysar in the Bridgehampton Can-Am race but Kysar failed to qualify the year-old T70. He subsequently raced the car for Rader in local SCCA events, scoring a victory at Clear Springs. Kysar then bought the car and continued to race it in minor events before selling it on in 1970. The T70 was then modified for use on the road by adding a tall windshield complete with wipers. In 1972, it was sold to South Africa and finally returned to Great Britain in 1985. In the ownership of Nigel Hulme, it was fitted with a Mk3B Coupe body. In 1987, Nick Amey acquired the car and he went on to regularly race the car in historic events. In 1998, he fitted the Mk3 Coupe body the car wears to this day. The current owner bought the car in 2003 and has since had the car raced with great verve by Bernard Thuner, who won his race at the Le Mans Classic in 2010 and 2012.
