Chassis:
Coachbuilder Brunn only fitted three Model J chassis with a Riviera Phaeton body, two of which, including this car, were equipped with the supercharged engine. It was acquired new by Lt. Col. Jacob Schick, who was best known for inventing the Schick razor and the first electric dry razor. He only owned the car for two years and then it changed hands several times before being acquired by Harry Schultzinger in 1950. In his, long-term ownership the car was gradually modified and 'improved'. Schultzinger sold the Brunn Riviera in 1975, which was then restored in the 1980s and more comprehensively again in the early 2000s. In 2005, it was acquired by the late John O'Quin and joined his formidable collection. It was sold from his estate in 2010, and four years later, it was shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it was awarded second in class.
