Chassis:
The fifth Jaguar-engined Knobbly Lister, this example was sold new to the Equipe Nationale Belge, the Belgian National Racing Team. Shortly after taking delivery, the ENB fielded the car, fitted with a three-litre engine, in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Freddy Rousselle and Claude Dubois. Sadly the race ended early after the fragile three-litre engine lost oil pressure. The car continued to be raced until it was crashed heavily in practice for a race in Finland, in May of 1959. The car was repaired, reportedly using many of the original body panels, which were later found to have been quite extensively reinforced and as a result weighed down with fibreglass. Following the ownership by a succession of notable owners, it was acquired by the current custodian during the mid-1990s. He has it beautifully prepared by CKL Engineering and raced it with considerable success all over Europe.
