Chassis:
Replacing his own front-engined Chaparral racer, this Tipo 61 was acquired new by Jim Hall and his brother Dick. Hall raced the car with great success in SCCA and USAC events between June of 1960 and June of 1961. Chassis 2463 was then sold on to Chuck Parsons, who added several more SCCA victories to the car's tally. This Birdcage has remained in the United States since then and joined the current custodian's collection 1998. He brought the car out to the 2014 Monterey Motorsports Reunion where Maserati's centenary was celebrated.
