Chassis:
One of seven Series I 400 Superamericas equipped with covered headlights, this chassis was bought from the factory by Hubert Charpentier through Franco-Britannic Autos. It passed through various French hands before it was acquired in 1986 by Alain Dominique Perrin, who was then the director of Cartier. At the time, the car was in rather derelict condition and Perrin commissioned a full restoration. He sold the car on in 1988 but it remained in French ownership until 2005. It was then restored once more and received a Ferrari Classiche Certificate. Since then, the subsequent owners have show the car at prominent events on both sides of the Atlantic.
