Chassis:
The first of three Camaro Trans-Am cars built by Chaparral, this car was raced during the 1970 season by Jim Hall and Vic Elford. Hall finished fourth on four consecutive occasions before Elford drove this car to the Camaro's only victory of the season at Watkins Glen. Of the three cars, this is the only one known to have survived. It was acquired in rather derelict condition by Mark Mountanos during the late 1990s. He submitted the car to a $100,000 restoration before campaigning it in the popular historic Trans-Am races throughout the 2000s. It has more recently changed hands and is currently offered by Canepa.
