Chassis: JS11/01
Even though it was the first JS11 completed, this chassis was not pressed into service until the United States Grand Prix West at Long Beach in April of 1979. Jacques Laffite failed to make the finish as the did Patrick Depailler in the car's next outing at Zolder. Jackie Ickx was slightly more successful in this car by finished sixth at Silverstone and fifth at Zandvoort. Converted to JS11/15 specification, it was used three times in 1980 with Laffite claiming a third at Paul Ricard. Prepared for historic racing, it has more recently been campaigned by its Belgian owner.
