Chassis:
Commissioned by prominent Maserati client, the Aga Khan, this was the second of three Frua bodied 5000 GTs. The elegant machine featured a slightly unusual location for the Maserati Trident, which was shared with the other two Frua 5000 GTs. Finished in light blue and with a beige interior, it was delivered to the Aga Khan in Switzerland on February 8th, 1962. It was soon sold or presented to actress Rita Hayworth, who had previously been married to the Aga Khan's father. Later in the decade, it was sold to the United States where it remained for most of its life. With the exception of a respray, it has survived in remarkably original condition. In more recent years, it has returned to Europe and today is in Italian ownership.
