Chassis:
Built in 1982, this was one of the Lancia Martini Racing works cars. It was never actually raced in a rally by the factory team but instead served as a 'muletto' or reconnaissance car on many of the 1982 World Rally Championship rounds. At the end of the year, it was sold to Team Grifone, who fielded it in the Targa Florio in Würth colours for Fabrizio Tabaton and Luciano Tadeschini. They crashed out but later in the year scored several good results in national events. It was later also campaigned in the Portuguese Rally Championship and its final outing came at the Rally Smeralda in 1985, exactly three years after the very first 037 Rally had debuted at the event. During the following 25 years, chassis 318 was on display in a Las Vegas museum. The current, British owner acquired the car from the museum and had it completely restored to its 1983 Targa Florio configuration. The work was completed in 2014.
