Chassis:
Completed in 1955, chassis 0461GT was delivered as a rolling chassis to the newly formed Carrozzeria Boano in Turin. Here it was fitted with the unique Cabriolet body with flamboyant fins and large chrome bumpers. Upon completion, it was shown by Boano at the 1956 Geneva Motor Show. Refinished in a lighter shade of metallic blue, it was brought out again for the Turin Motor Show later in the year. Its final contemporary appearance came at the New York Auto Show where it was painted dark metallic blue once more. The one-off Boano Cabriolet was bought from the show floor by Robert M. Lee, who still owns this car to this day. In recent years, Lee has brought the car to select events and in 2011 won Best of Show at the Concours on the Avenue in Carmel by the Sea.
