Chassis:
Finished in metallic green, or verde scuro, with a gold roof, this 250 GT Ellena Coupe was completed in December of 1957. Early the following year, it was delivered to North American distributor Luigi Chinetti, who showed the car at the Chicago Auto Show. It was then sold to its first owner, a banker from Connecticut. Its early history is known until the mid-1960s and it the reappeared in 1989. During the mid-2000s, it was completely restored, using a V12 from a later 250 GTE to replace the missing original unit. It was finished in metallic green again with a silver racing stripe but the gold roof did not return.
