This early 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring was fitted from new with a long list of options that included Recaro seats and provisions for an entertainment system. It was delivered new to an enthusiast in Hamburg, Germany. The car remained in the area until it was acquired by a collector from Cologne in May of 1986. At some point, the original engine was replaced with a slightly later but similar Carrera engine. The next and fifth owner acquired the car in the mid 2000s and submitted it to a cosmetic restoration. After a decade of ownership, he consigned the car to the 2015 RM Auctions sale in Paris where it sold for just shy of Euro 500,000.
