Chassis:
This is one of the final March GTP cars sold to a privateer. Its first owner, John Kalagian, fitted the chassis 85G-6 with a Porsche 962 derived engine. By 1985 the design was really showing its age and the car struggled to be competitive. The best results were two 5th place finishes in the IMSA GTP Championship that year. For 1986 the car was sold back to the United Kingdom and campaigned in some of the World Championship rounds. Its most notable result was a 14th overall and first in GTP class at Le Mans. In recent years the car returned to North America and was fully restored to its Le Mans class winning condition. It is seen here in action at the 2009 Monterey Historic Races.
