The second of three P139s produced by BRM for the 1969 season, this car was raced four times that year by Jackie Oliver. He retired three times but did manage to clinch a single point by finishing sixth in the Mexican Grand Prix. After two more fruitless outings in 1970 with George Eaton at the helm, chassis P139-02 was retired from contemporary racing. Shortly after, it was acquired by Tom Wheatcroft for his Donington Grand Prix Collection. It remained on display in the fabulous museum for nearly four decades before changing hands more recently.
