Completed early in February of 1955, this is one of seven 100S Austin Healeys shipped to the United States for the Sebring 12 Hours. It was raced by Fred F. Allen and Gus Ehrman until an oil pipe failure ended the charge on lap 47. The subsequent owner, Travers McKenna, would go on to race the car successfully for several more years. It won a local championship as late as 1965. In need of a complete restoration, it joined a prominent American Austin Healey collection during the 1970s. In 1990, it was repatriated to Great Britain.
