Chassis:
Karl von Wendt acquired two T212s, one for himself and this one for the highly talented Helmut Marko. He first raced it at Paul Ricard for the season's opening round and went on to score a debut victory. At the next round, his home race at the Salzburgring, Marko qualified on pole but was forced to retire due to a fuel pressure issue. The car was then damaged at Silverstone and Marko switched to HU23 for the remainder of the season. Once repaired, chassis HU22 was campaigned by Gijs van Lennep and Jean-Pierre Jabouille both in Europe and South Africa. It is believed that the car was later used in Greek hill-climb events. It resurfaced in more recent years and was sold from the United States to Great Britain where was owned and raced by Neil Primrose, the drummer of the rock-band Travis.
