Completed by David Price Racing late in 1980, this is one of the SD1s campaigned by Tom Walkinshaw Racing before the team switched to the in-house developed cars. Following its contemporary racing career, it eventually ended up in Belgium. Following a spell in Irish hands, it was acquired by the current custodian in 2012. He had the car comprehensively restored and prepared for racing by marque specialist and former member of the TWR team Ken Clarke. Since the work was completed, the current owner has campaigned the Group 1 Rover extensively on both sides of the English Channel.
