Chassis:
Finished in the instantly recognisable American racing colours of white with a double blue stripe, this DB3S was sold new to Joe Lubin. Shortly after taking delivery of the car, he first raced the car at Bakersfield in May of 1956. He would race the car through to the end of the 1957 with a choice of co-drivers. Among them was a young Richie Ginther, who managed to place DB3S/115 second overall at Pomona, in 1957. At the start of the following year, it was acquired by Bill de Creeft, who repainted it blue and campaigned it at eight events. In the early 1960s, it then passed to Ron Keil, who made several changes with an eye on making it more useable on the road. From 1965 through to 2008, it was the same collection. It was subsequently restored to its original configuration and raced at several editions of the Goodwood Revival. Through London-based dealer Fiskens, it then passed to a German enthusiast, who showed it at Villa d'Este in 2018.
