Chassis:
Completed in the summer of 1957, this was the first 250 GT 'Tour de France' fitted with the '3-Louvre' bodywork. It was finished in dark and sold to Scandinavia. It was driven to class victory in the Swedish Grand Prix by Finnish racer Curt Lincoln. He also won the 1958 Helsinki Grand Prix before shipping the car to continental Europe where he competed at Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring. Following a brief spell in Sweden, chassis 0723GT has been in Finnish hands throughout its life. During the 1970s, it was displayed for many years in the Espoo Car Museum in Helsinki. After a longterm ownership of many decades, it was more recently acquired by the current owner. He showed the car at the 2015 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, which quite possibly was the very first time, it was seen outside of Scandinavia in over 50 years.
