Chassis:
Completed by GAACO early in 1981, the unique 935 JLP-3 was campaigned by JLP Racing for exactly two years. Entered in 26 events, it finished on the podium 16 times, scoring seven outright victories, including back-to-back wins at Daytona and Sebring. To this day, JLP-3 is the only car to have won both events in a single season. Soon after the car was retired from contemporary racing, it was sold to an American enthusiast. Although, it has changed hands several times since, it has always been in American ownership. For one of the previous owners, it was restored to full running order by specialists Gunnar Racing with an eye on competing in historic events. It has since been offered at auction twice and today is part of a formidable American collection. Restored once more, it has seen select outings at the events like the 2015 Monterey Motorsports Reunion and the Rennsport Reunion a few months later.
