Chassis:
One of several 275 GTB/Cs sold through Luigi Chinetti, this example was acquired new by young Mexican racer Pedro Rodriguez. He used the car to finished seventh overall and first in class in the December 1966 Governor's and Tourist Trophy race during the Nassau speed week. Soon after, it was returned to Chinetti, who fielded it under the North American Racing Team (NART) banner at Daytona twice but with little success. Harley Cluxton then bought the car and entered it for Daytona and Sebring in 1970 but again with little success. Following its retirement from contemporary racing chassis 09063 changed hands many times and remained in the United States with the exception of a brief spell in Switzerland during the 1990s. Among its previous owners are noted collectors like Albert Obrist, Bernie Ecclestone and Bruce McCaw. Its most recent custodian acquired the car in the early 2000s and it has only rarely been seen since. In 2018, it was consigned to the Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions as one of the headliners.
