Chassis:
Not raced until the October 1977 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, this is the sixth and final Shadow DN8 built. It debuted in the hands of Jean-Pierre Jarier, who finished ninth in his sole outing for Shadow that season. Chassis 6A was then entrusted to Riccardo Patrese, who placed 10th in the Canadian Grand Prix. After just two outings, it was retired from Grand Prix racing but have been used as the basis of one of the DN10 single-seat Can-Am cars. Restored to its original configuration, chassis DN8/6A has more recently been campaigned in the FIA Masters F1 Championship.
