Chassis:
One of the Devin SS racers built on an Northern Irish chassis, this example was retained by Bill Devin until 1993, when it was acquired by Echidna Racing. Restored by Chris Wickersham, it was then extensively raced in historic events by a succession of owners. In 2008, chassis SR1-3 received another mechanical restoration. In November of 2015, it was offered by California-based dealers Fantasy Junction. At the time, it was fitted with a relatively docile Chevrolet '283', perfectly suited to use on the street but also included was a 331 cubic-inch race-bred V8, which dyno-ed at 476 bhp. With this engine fitted, the Devin was able to run at the sharp end of the field at several editions of the Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
