Chassis:
This is one of just six M3 GTR road cars produced. At the end of 2001, two were simultaneously shown at the Petit Le Mans ALMS season finale and at the Dubai BMW importer. With BMW ending its ALMS effort early, production of the road cars was also halted and ultimately none were sold to the public. Three cars were 'recycled' and used for other projects while the other three, including this car, were retained by BMW Classic. At one of its very rare public outings, this Strassen Version is seen here at the 2015 Monterey Motorsports Reunion where it was shown alongside one of the competition cars.
