Chassis:
The very first Chevron B1 built, this was the car raced with great success by Brian Classick from the second half of 1965 and well into the 1966 season. In 1968, it was acquired from Derek Bennett by Vin Malkie along with all the jigs and moulds. Malkie carried on with the Chevron brand after Bennett's untimely death and has also been responsible for the continuation B8s and B16s, and the B1 Mk2 road car. For the 2005 celebration of the Chevron's 40th anniversary, the original B1 was carefully restored. Like the other B1 and the four B2s that followed, it still retains its original chassis. In 2015, it was dusted off for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
