This is the very first Matra single seater built and the first of two MS1s constructed in 1965. It was raced that season by Jean-Pierre Beltoise, who scored Matra's first wins on his way to the French F3 Championship. Now owned by a French enthusiast, it was comprehensively restored during the late 2000s with the help of former Matra engineers and mechanics.
