Chassis:
Following four unsuccessful outings in the 1987 IMSA GTP, the unique AR8 was retired from contemporary racing. It was retained by one of the team principles, Jim Mullen. In 1988, it was rebuilt to full running order by Tom Milner Racing and then acquired by an American enthusiast. In 2002, it was restored for historic racing by Michigan specialists RM Motorsport. It was then raced at the 2012 Monterey Motorsports Reunion before being sold to an Italian Historic Racer. He first raced the car at Laguna Seca and then repatriated it to Italy where he fielded it in the 2018 Imola Classic.
