Chassis:
The very first LC2 built, this car was entered for the 1983 season opening Monza 1000 km. Unfortunately, the car was crashed in practice by Piercarlo Ghinzani and was not raced. Repaired, it was entered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans later in the year. Driven by Alessandro Nannini, Jean-Claude Andruet and Paolo Barilla, it qualified 13th but failed to reach the finish due to a turbo failure. Not raced again, it was later acquired by collector Manfredo Lippmann. It then joined the Blackhawk collection before being sold to French collector Jean Guittard. From his stable, it joined the fabulous Martini Lancia collection of Irish American John Campion during the second half of the 2010s. Early in 2020, it was announced that the entire collection was consigned to British dealer Girardo.
