Chassis:
One of several T70s sold to John Mecom, this car was used to replace the earlier SL70/3 that had been severely damaged by Walt Hansgen in an accident. In July of 1965, it was tested by Road and Track before it made its competition debut in the hands of Hansgen. He clinched pole position at Bridgehampton and won the Monterey GP outright, after dominating both heats. At the end of the 1965, it was sold on to actor Don Blocker for John Cannon and Jack Saunders to race but no outings have been recorded. Following spells in Florida and Germany, chassis SL70/6 is today owned by a Portuguese historic racer.
