Chassis:
Completed early in 1956, this 300S was delivered new to Baron Antonio Pucci from Palermo, Italy. He promptly entered the car in the Giro di Sicilia where he failed to finish. A month later he placed second overall in the Corsa del Monte Pellegrino. Ahead of the 1957 season, it was sold Scuderia Centro Sud. Guglielmo Dei's Rome based team fielded the car for a variety of drivers through to the 1961 team when it was raced once more by Pucci, at Enna. In 1964, chassis 3065 was acquired by Fritz Schlumpf and it is today on permanent display in the Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse, France. Not touched since the 1960s, it must be one of the most original 300S Maseratis in existence.
