Chassis:
Among the first 500 cars built by Porsche in Stuttgart, this example was sold to the United States. It spent its first years in Michigan but was then sold to California, which may explain why it had survived in complete and fully running condition when it was acquired by English enthusiast Sean Geddes in 2001. Although complete, this very early Porsche was in need of a complete restoration. The work was carried out by Italy-based specialist Reinhold Plank. The car was subsequently shown at Villa d'Este before being offered by British Porsche dealer Maxted-Page.
