Chassis:
Alain de Cadenet had commissioned the construction of this T286 but cancelled his order at the last moment. The reason was a change in the regulations, which rendered the car ineligible for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1977. The unfinished car was set aside until 1984, when it was acquired by the Otford Group to run in the 1985 Thundersports championship. Driven by James Wallis and Mike Wilds, it was driven to victory in the Brands Hatch round after starting third. The final outing came a year later at the same venue with Wallis joined by Hoy. Started third once more, it now finished second. It was not used again until the second half of the 1990s, when it re-appeared in historic racing. In Swiss hands for many years now, it was restored to its original livery by Equipe Europe ahead of the 2020 season.
