Chassis:
A Team Car, this car was originally built as a naturally aspirated machine for Bernard Rubin. It was then upgraded to full Blower specification and modified so extensively that its sometimes referred to as HB3404 as it was the third Birkin Blower. Once upgraded, it was raced extensively appearing at Brooklands, in the Tourist Trophy and in the Irish Grand Prix. Along the way, it broke many lap records but ultimately only managed a second at the Ards Circuit in Belfast as the best finish. Like many of its sister cars 'YU 3250' was raced extensively in historic events. It was also shown at the Donnington Grand Prix Collection museum and famously formed the basis for many model cars. Lovingly preserved, it is now part of an important American collection.
