Chassis:
The fourth and final T70 built to the lightweight, Mk3B specifications, this was the second example allocated to Team Surtees. It was raced only once, in the 1967 Laguna Seca Can-Am round where defending champion John Surtees had a coming together with Lothar Motschenbacher. The tub was undamaged and the car was sold to Jeff Stevens. He won two prominent South American races; the Caracas 6 Hours and the Circuito de Proceros. He won the local SCCA Miami National in 1969 and later that year also competed in the Bridgehampton Can-Am round until his engine blew on lap two. Following its contemporary racing career, chassis SL75/125 passed to specialist dealer Chuck Haines and was extensively campaigned in historic events. Following spells in Switzerland and Spain, it was acquired by a Belgian enthusiast. He has had the car meticulously restored and prepared by WDK with an eye on competing in the Can-Am 50th anniversary races during the summer of 2016.
