This B16 was acquired by Italian Chevron distributor Eris Tondelli for himself to race during the 1970 season. He campaigned the car with considerable success, scoring several class podiums. For the Mugello Grand Prix, he was joined by Toine Hezemans but their charge ended early due to a gearbox failure. At the end of the year, the car was sold to Frank Aston, who raced the car in local events on the British isles in 1971 and 1972. He retained the car through to 1978 and it then spent time in German and Belgian hands. Chassis CH-DBE-15 finally returned to track when it was owned by Sylvain Stepack in the second half of the 1990s. Among the subsequent owners were noted historic racers Jon Minshaw and Dr Wolf Zweifler. One of the few B16s that have survived with a straightforward history, this car was offered for sale during the late 2010s by Belgian dealer RMD.
