Chassis:
Following its duties at the 1980 Turin Motor Show, the one-off Athon was submitted to a complete road test by Italian magazine Quattroruote. The concluded that the car still embodied all the great handling qualities of the Silhouettes, while the lack of sound deadening provided a glorious aural experience. The Athon was then retired to Bertone's museum, where it remained until the company went into receivership during the early 2010s. Along with several other superb show cars from the collection, the highly original machine was sold at auction in 2011. Still in completely unrestored and time-warp condition, the unique Athon was shown at the 2016 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
