Chassis:
Completed in the fall of 1956, this 200S was sold new to Brazilian gentleman racer Severino Gomez-Silva. Accordingly, it was finished yellow with a green stripe. Gomez-Silva predominantly raced the car in South America where it remained for close to five decades. It was eventually found and sold to the United States in the early 2000s. Completely restored, it was finished in the more common but historically dark red usually associated with Maserati racers from the period. In its subsequent British ownership, it was repainted again to the original and particularly striking pale yellow and green.
