Chassis:
Built ahead of the 1992 season, this is the very last complete car built by Spice Engineering. Due for the IMSA GTP championship, it featured a slightly narrower windshield and a two-tier rear wing to improve aerodynamic efficiency and increase downforce. Powered by a Chevrolet V8 engine, it was raced by David Tennyson from the spring of 1992 through the opening rounds of the 1993 season with a choice of co-drivers. The car was relatively fast and very reliable but could not match the ultimate pace of the dominant Japanese GTP cars. Chassis SE92P was raced to third on four different occasions, and finished 11th in the 1993 Sebring 12 Hours after starting fourth. Since its retirement from contemporary racing, it has regularly appeared in historic events. Until the 2016, it boasted the red with blue livery used during its final period outing but for its new owner, it has been restored to its original 'Denon' livery by specialists Phil Stott Motorsport.
