Chassis:
The second of four cars built to 375 Indy specification, this car was sold to Howard 'Hal' Keck. With backing from the Grant Piston Ring company, he entered the car as the Grand Piston Ring Special for Johnny Parsons in the 1952 Indy 500. Unfortunately, Parsons failed to qualify for the race. Before the end of the year, it was sold to noted collector and racer Lindley Bothwell. Although it changed hands several times, it changed hands several times before it was acquired by Brazilian collector Carlos Monteverde in 1997. Painted red, he raced it several times before offering it at auction in 2000. Chassis 02 then joined the Louwman Museum collection where it was restored to its original configuration and livery.
