Chassis:
Built in 1920, this Series H Bearcat was part of the impressive Val Valentine Collection for many years. He had found the car in Michigan in complete condition but particularly the body was in need of a restoration. This would turn out to be a marathon effort of 20 years. Once restored, the body was painted with period correct yellow lacquer and the interior upholstered with 'Spanish grain' leather, which was a Stutz option back in 1920. In 2014, chassis 5067 was acquired by the current custodian. He entered the car in the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it was awarded 'Best in Class', beating no fewer than three Mercers and a Duesenberg to the honour.
