Chassis:
One of five 3.0 CSLs built to IMSA specification, this car was raced extensively by the factory team and its drivers during the 1975 season. At the end of the year, it was acquired by Peter Gregg. He entered the car for himself and Brian Redman in he 1976 Daytona 24 Hours. Going into the evening they grabbed they were in the lead but Gregg fell ill. This forced Redman to do a double stint during the night before John Fitzpatrick was borrowed from a sister entry to take over Gregg's driving duties. Their combined efforts were sufficient to grab the victory, making Gregg the first driver to win three consecutive Daytona 24 Hours races. In private hands, this car's racing career continued for several more seasons before it was restored to its Daytona winning livery and configuration during 1980s.
