Chassis:
One of the first Group A 635 CSis built, this chassis was sold to Italian Giuseppe Briozzo. He raced the car in the 1983 European Touring Car Championship with an eighth at Enna Pergusa as the best result. From a seized Italian collection, it was offered by RM Sotheby's at auction in November of 2016. Shattering its rather conservative estimate, it sold for just over Euro 160,000. The new owner then entrusted the car to specialists Goeff Steel Racing in the UK for a ground-up restoration. It was liveried in the colours as used by Briozzo at Donington where he raced the car with Urs Knecht and Hans-Rudolf Stalder but failed to reach the finish. Ready to go, it was entrusted to Car and Classic to find a new owner in March of 2020.
