Chassis:
Completed in October of 1936, chassis 57384 was the fifth Type 57 S constructed. It was fitted by the factory with an Atalante style body, complete with the optional 'Roll Back' sliding roof. During the 1970s, it was fitted with a supercharger and upgraded to the 210 bhp 'SC' specification. Chassis 57384 was commissioned by a French enthusiast to replace a Type 57 he had crashed. Among the subsequent owners was American pioneer collector Dr. Samual Scher. In the 1970s, it was returned to France and received a mechanical restoration for new owner Michel Pobersejsky, better known under his pseudonym Mike Sparken. In 1993, it joined the stable of a Swiss collector, who would enjoy the car for nearly three decades. He regularly showed the car and also used it on the road in Switzerland. In 2022, it was consigned to headline the RM Sotheby's St. Moritz sale.
