Chassis:
This is the 11th of 29 Porsche 959s built to the Sport specification. It was delivered new to Vasek Polak Jr, the son of noted West Coast Porsche distributor Vasek Polak. He picked up the car personally in Stuttgart and drove it around Europe before having it shipped to the United States. Polak Jr would own the car for several years before selling it on. The third custodian, a Swiss Porsche enthusiast, acquired the rare 959 Sport in 2008. During the 2010s, it was displayed for six months at the Porsche Museum in a special supercar display to mark the launch of the 918 Spyder. The car was then consigned to RM Sotheby's February 2017 Paris sale, where it was acquired by a New York collector. Beautifully preserved, the low-mileage example was part of the same collection for a nearly decade. Along with four other cars from the same stable, it was then entrusted to Broad Arrow Auctions for the 2026 Amelia Island sale.
