Chassis:
Following the two 1981 outings at Le Mans and Brands Hatch, the unique Porsche 917 K/81 was retired to the Kremer Racing showroom. It was retained by the Kremer Brothers through to 1986 when it was tested by a German magazine and compared to a brand new 962C. The car was then acquired by a British enthusiast, who would own the car for over two decades. Through specialist Raceline Feustel, it was then sold to a French enthusiast. He had the car refurbished by Raceline Feustel to its Le Mans configuration and livery. It has since been driven during track sessions several times before it was displayed at Retromobile early in 2017 by the Ascott Collection on behalf of the then owner.
