Chassis:
The first 92C-V produced, this car was sold to the Trust Racing Team. It debuted with a third in the Suzuka 500 km with Steven Andskar and George Fouché behind the wheel. For Le Mans, they were joined by former F1 racer Stefan Johansson. They finished fifth overall and first in the Cat. 2 class. In the remainder of the season in Japan, the car could do no better than fourth overall. It was raced at Le Mans twice more, as a 93C-V in 1993 and as the flat-floored 94C-V the following year. It finished sixth and fourth overall respectively.
Retained by Trust Racing following its contemporary racing career, chassis 001 was eventually sold to a British collector during the 2010s. In 2016, it was acquired by a Luxembourg-based historic racer, who had specialists Phil Stott Motorsport restore the car to its 1992, Le Mans class winning configuration. The work focused on the floor, which was fortunately filled with easily removable panels to once again reveal the ground-effect tunnels. The work was completed in time for the 2017 season and the car was entered by Art & Revs and first raced at the Jarama Classic by the owner and Belgian ace Vincent Radermecker. It was raced twice again in 2017 and then following a complete engine rebuilt was back at out during the 2020 season.
